SML Strippit antifouling remover is a water based caustic paste that has been designed to remove old antifouling from GRP & wooden craft with the minimum of effort without damaging the gel coat or epoxy coatings. It is effective on most types of self polishing and leaching antifouling, but is not for 2-pack paints. Strippit was awarded a Best Buy Award in Motor Boats Monthly magazine. To use Strippit follow these basic steps
- Apply Strippit paste to hull. Depending on the number of layers of old paint to be removed, 1 x 7kg pack will cover between 5 & 15 sq. metres.
- With a Pre-Masked Polythene Roll, stick the self-adhesive tape just above the waterline mark, unfold the sheet and allow it to cover the area where Strippit has been applied
- Leave overnight and peel off the sheet with the scraper and wash to remove any residue. Repeat if necessary.
Appropriate safety equipment should be worn when using Strippit due to its caustic nature.
