Step 1: Surface Preparation
- Previously Painted Wood - Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose or peeling paint. Sand glossy surfaces to promote adhesion.
- Weathered Wood - Remove loose fibres and dirt, then apply a primer to improve adhesion and durability.
Step 2 - Priming
- For new wood, apply Jotun Visir Clear Primer before or immediately after installation to protect against moisture and fungi.
Step 3 - Application
- Conditions - Ensure temperatures are above 5°C and that there is no risk of condensation or rain until the coating is dry.
- Methods - Suitable for brush, roller, or airless spray application.
- Coats - Apply two to three coats, depending on wood porosity and exposure conditions.
Step 4 - Drying and Curing
- Touch Dry - 2 hours at 23°C.
